"give it to me, don't give it away
don't think about what the others say
my skin's getting clear, my hair's so bright
all you do is fuck me every day and night
you're my secret beauty routine
na na na na, what my body has seen
i am looking good and i'm feeling nice
baby you're the best magazine advice
give me your hot white cum
give me your hot white cum
give me your hot white cum"

That song sounds like the perfect am radio ditty: bright vocals, bouncy tune, memorable chorus. I find myself wandering down the street singing it out loud to the likely horror of the public at large.
And what exactly is so horrific about it, I ask? North Americans are so fucked in the head when it comes to sex we don't know whether we're, um, coming or going.
The united states seems to be even weirder than canada when it comes to sex. I've observed the separate content rating systems for our two countries. Many of the tapes with R ratings in the us are heavy on sexual content, especially lifestyle sexual content. The canadian ratings crack down on violence more.
If I ever had a child, god forbid, I'd much prefer him or her to come in contact with honest sexual images than violent ones.
We saturate our media in sexual images of commerce, where sex is a sleek, cleaned up, stylized product: nothing imperfect or possibly unsanitary here. We repress sexuality by replacing it with This Season's Sex, sex as a uniform of conformity we can put on to cover our inadequate animal selves.
At least in Europe, sex in the media is not one size fits all. There's variety and not all of it's pretty. I would have to say my encounters with european lovers have generally been more interesting and satisfying. I'm sure part of it stems from the fact they were generally less repressed than the homegrown trysts I've had.
Nudity freaks people out here too. The fact that it does, freaks me out. When I hang out nude with my friends, it's not uncomfortable. It's not a come-on, or the front-end to the orgy. It's just people hanging out without clothes. No one's staring. It's no. big. deal.
I think this continent would go a long way to reducing its violence and frustration if more people hung out sans clothing.
It's hard to be self-important when you're just another mammal.
