I slept, correction, I lay in bed for 12 hours. Around 5am I lay in the dark thinking about things. Then I fell back asleep and had a dream about vertigo and a serial rapist. frown

Later: thank goodness a shower washed the icky post-dream feelings away.

eek, i hate the way a bad dream can haunt you all day sometimes. Glad you got rid off it! On that note im off to bed! kiss

Eeesh. I have an odd one for you: a week + 1/2 ago I had a dream that I was prostituting. I was going to "put on a show" for 4 guys with a guy and a girl. The weirdest thing about the dream was how normal everything was- the people, setting, etc.
Last night, I dreamt I hired a Chinese prostitute. Yeah, a woman one. I woke up more than a little revved-up... shocked

I don't know what my subconscious is trying to tell me.

edit- I just got to thinking- renting 2046 a couple weeks ago probably had something to do with the second dream... but the dream had none of the style of a Wong Kar Wai film.

I did a little math last night, while I was calculating split of a sale of minerals for fellow guildies in Eve Online (which by the way is a very interesting and complex space exploration, engineering and trading game,) and came up with a repeating number.

I woke up this morning thinking about repeating numbers and how you indicate them with a line over the...

WTF!! please don't talk about math problems in this forum it makes me feel inferior and for a number of reasons.

1. I don't like the idea that you may are smarter than me

2. fuck it number one is hard enough to deal with.

*now I realise this is my problem but we are friends (well we were up until this point hehe) so please be kind and leave me with my illusions*

We're mere hours away from a conservative government. I'm voting NDP. It's gonna be a rough ride for a bit.

Yesterday somebody did something which reminded me of something I'd done many years ago, ironically enough, to remind me of something else. I'd forgotten it all.

I was reminded last night of the fact that I had once swallowed a large pebble, and my loved one had done the same.

All I remember aside from the act of consuming a rock was that we were...

i think you need to be x-rayed.

i read yesterday that napoleon was not short. he was average height, even a bit taller than frenchies at the time--5'6" approximately.

but, the idea is the same. i like that you gave that little poem a meaning that hadn't occured to me. mostly, i just needed a rhyme for heart.

my faith in the moderation and level-headedness of Canadian politics is exceeded by - well, nothing

the religious Right is on something of a rampage here in the States - but I believe that this trend too is short-lived and may not even survive the Congressional elections in November

Politics - what a tangled web - and so little good seems to get done ......

and yet democracy rights itself again and again and shuns extremity - even in melodramatic America
luckyp:
Ah well, you could always move down here to the good ol' US where the Conservatives are powerless!
Oh... wait.....

So yesterday my dvd player started making this horrid buzzing noise, like a demented bluebottle mashing itself madly against something vibratey. I immediately thought of my dear departed dad who could fix anything, but decided barring some sort of repair shop seance, I was getting no help from that quarter.

I briefly considered the possibility of buying a new one, but felt bad about tossing...

Yeah, disposable society. "Just buy a new one!" I hope there's a few industrialized nations left in which this attitude is properly seen as = shit.

so I got up early this morning and worked out. Yay, me!

Then, I made myself fried ham sausage and scrambled eggs. shocked To be fair, the sausage is leftover from my mom's less-than-healthful groceries. I blame her.

I went to the grocery store on the weekend and bought a bunch of healthy food, including some tofu stuff AND thin chicken breast slices and sirloin tip...

I read that there is more calcium in vegies then milk and there are many issues with milk. I personally don't drink the stuff makes me fart. My mom who is 76 was told several years ago to increase her calcium intake or lift weights. She lifts weights, (like me can't drink milk) and eats veggies, she told me recently her doc. figures that she has added bone mass. She does that step thing. Holds a 10 lb. dumbbell in each hand and takes a lunging step forward. Does this every morning for 10 minutes. She also told me that this exercise works the butt muscles, she said I have an ass of steel a fair amount of info if you ask me. eeek

I read the article too. I left the car home to day and walked to school. was really nice. it's gonna be mild for a little while so I will continue to use feet instead of rubber and gas. Sounds like ur doing pretty good. Its nice to hear that. smile

I watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory last night and I can't decide if I like it. The Danny Elfmanized songs are great. The oompaloompas are great. Tim Burton's characteristic dark flourishes made me smile. The casting of Charlie's family fits nicely with the book (which, btw, was the first book I ever read by myself when I was a kid). There's just something, something...

I don't think Burton's is for me; I like-a da old! I feel like Mel Stuart and Gene W did it the way I like.

I like Tim's version, but I have had a harder and harder time enjoying his movies as of late. Like when I saw Batman Begins.....damn, that film stomps the shit outta his old Batman movies. But I will admit this Willy Wonka film is good, just a little too much CG.

It's odd. I woke up this morning to an empty apartment and I feel sorta lonely. I think I got used to having my mom around. She left me the sweetest note, one of those communications that evoke happy-sad feelings. It's quiet. I cannot remember the last time I was in a quiet place. It seems for the past year I've been around others all...

I had a big blowup on my mom and she's moving out in the next couple days, moving back to her house. I kept needling her to get an apartment because I don't think she should be living in her big rickety old house alone, but she kept hedging. It was doing neither one of us any good. I'm looking forward to being alone again,...
