New shoes, new walks. Black suede VANS this time. A bit over my budget, but well needed. I need to go through my wardrobe soon. I haven't bought new clothes for almost a year. It will have to wait until after Christmas, though.

Hello Christmas Sale.

Too bad they don't have computers on sale. Old buddy Bastian is on his last leg. First the processing...

I never understood the thing with shoes. But I guess men aren't supposed to.

I had to replace my computer a few months ago. This was on top of almost every other expensive thing in my house breaking at the same time. I wasn't as sad about parting with the computer as I was about parting with all that money.

But I do love my new computer.

I just zapped across South Park on Irish tv. In Irish. And I don't mean the funny "Angela's Ashes" kind of irish. I mean gaelic. The real thing.
And it sounds hilarious. If I find it on the internet I'll post it. For you who haven't heard it, it sounds like an englishman speaking complete jibberish.

You got to love it.

memorandom:
that's bizarre - i kind of wish they'd dub some shows into scots gaelic just for the entertainment factor, and so the gaelic speaking northerners would have something decent to watch in their own language rather than just. . . shows about fishing hosted by beardy guys in arran jumpers.
tristane:
But isn't that all they do in Scotland...? wink

Fishing shows, local news and cartoons, that's what they get here. I have also seen Tom & Jerry in gaelic, which was almost equally as interesting. But what I would really like to see in gaelic is Rikki Lake Show. Or maybe Battlestar Galactica.
The most fascinating thing was that Cartman really sounded like Cartman. But speaking jibberish.

Yesterday I listened to Simon and Garfunkel. It was the first time in more than a year, and the calm it spread through my body surprised even me.

It is never easy to explain how certain music contains so much feelings. Not because of the melody, or any explicitly deep lyrics, but for the associations it brings. Simon and Garfunkel was my fathers favorite band....

My so called friend K is starting to get on my nerves. She is starting to get on my nerves for real now, and considering my constant mood of edgy frustration it is all I can do not to snap at her. She had quite a lot of personality normally, and this could be enough to set you off, but now it is mainly because...

At times I wonder if the Gods are deliberately trying to piss me off. The signs are all there. They make sure I am the last to know about the office party. They sneak age upon me. They keep fixing me up with emo guys with long hair with a, putting it mildly, disputable taste in music who all just happens to have an ex...

I should do more blogging. One of the reasons why I don't do it is probably because most times I feel like writing is at work, and SG is hardly what you would call "work safe".

All Hallows Eve. Halloween.

On Ireland it is really Halloween, complete with the pumpkins, the skeletons and the hysterical commercialism you have started to associate with every major or...

Plane leaves at eight in the morning. Cab comes to pick me up at six. I'm getting up at five. Computer dies in four minutes. I should go to bed, but I need to get it out.

Boy, I am SO GLAD to be going home! Happier than a box of chocolates. Don't even mind four hours waiting before final flight. I'll enjoy it so...

I mean... Seventy euros worth of underwear. It's not that bad. I deserved it. After all, I've been working out four times a week for almost two months, and haven't had any sugar at all!
Well, none that counts anyway.
Besides, I don't have to eat next month. Food is so two thousand six. I'll just stuck up on couscous. That'll work fine.

It'll...

I would like to make a statement.

There is a lot of good things about Ireland. The streets are narrow and pitoresque, people you meet on the street are friendly and keeps asking you how you are and nobody keeps count on who is buying who a beer down at the pub. Still, there are some things that, no matter how hard you try, you...

Although I don't share you, uh, wishes in this journal, I WILL point out that I loved Ireland and is doing everything in my power to get back there.
Cork's a great city, I spent some great times there. I might suggest, however, going up to a town called Doolin. Its on the West coast a bit south of Galway. Great little town, and they do a Trad Music fest every March or April. Great town.

I don't like the term "blog". The idea of having an online journal first occurred to me when I was thirteen. I was about to implement it at seventeen - and right then this new blog trend came, and suddenly everybody was doing it. It was just like tattoos. Six months before my eighteenth birthday it suddenly got really hip and the full back tattoo...
