Got a new cell phone yesterday. The reason this is any sort of news is that I've had the same cell phone for, like, 8 or 9 years. It was ridiculously horrible - I am just NOW getting text messaging and it's fucking 2009. Also, it was so old I couldn't transfer my contact list so I had to do that manually - took hours. So out with the ancient, in with the passe. When I use it I feel fancy - haha.

After that I went to my parents home and hung out there and had some dinner. It was actually really fun. We had a few glasses of wine and really got to talking. It's awesome to realize how much I have in common with them as an adult.
Another badass aspect of visiting my parents: getting to see my kitties!!! Hehe. I've had them since I was in elementary school, so they are my babies. The two younger ones were the kittens of my kitty, so it's one big happy family.

Oh - Other news! On Saturday I went to see the Avett Brothers in Portland. They rocked the socks off the audience. It was insane. They played way after they were supposed to, and then the audience was so crazy that they got them to preform 2 encores. It was a big ol' love fest. biggrin

I was going to go to Folklife today but flaked out and played with my cell phone instead. How lame, huh? My bf is at work, so I'm gonna go pick up the place. Byeeeee...

Hell, I just started using a 4 year old phone with a camera & keyboard. In 2005 it was awesome technology.

now?

It's an old, beat up phone that I got for free.

but hell, at least it works.
