This blog is dedicated to customer service nightmares and my favorite one is when I was 14 I was shopping at The Deb. There was another group of girls there who were apparently shoplifting. I work in a pharmacy and calling insurances is just as much of a nightmare as it is for the customers calling their own insurances. Half the time they don't speak English very well, other times they don't seem to know what they're doing (I know more about their job than most of them do), and there is always a long hold time as well as taking forever to get anything accomplished. No matter what branch of service (retail, medical, whatever) there are always problems. I could never do that type of job despite the fact that I would know what I was doing and get stuff done right and quickly. I couldn't do it.
