He's a guy I've worked with for a few months. We just recently started hanging out (we'd always gotten along but had never spent time together outside of work). Over the past two weeks or so, we've gotten closer. I really like him. I feel comfortable with him, and we have tons in common. We can talk and talk and talk.
But he has a girlfriend, and they aren't getting on so well. They're very much in love, though... just dealing with distance (she just left for MSU, and he goes to EMU). I wouldn't DARE pursue someone who is in a relationship, especially one of 2.5 years, so that's why he's "forbidden fruit".
Anyway, he told me, tonight, that he suspected I had feelings for him. I said, "I won't lie. I do, but I would never, ever try anything while you're in love with someone. That's not right. I won't be a homewrecker, so to speak. I can't do that to someone." He thanked me for respecting that and said he considered me a very good friend and didn't feel weirded out or anything (I was pretty embarrassed).
