Damn, I'm excited. There's some great music out there right now. I'm spoiled, I'm surrounded by some incredible DJ's and electronic artists in my circle of friends. But outside of that, there's some really great shit out there. Aside from the likes of U2, The Prodigy, Garbage, Billy Idol, and the upcoming discs from New Order and Nine Inch Nails, I've been blown away by two albums in the electronic/DJ scene. One is Bassnectar, whom I've gotten to see a number of times (including a performance on my birthday that was unbelievable), and the other is Son Of The Electric Ghost.

I got SOTEG's "Your Creator Knows Your Name" a couple months ago, and it's been in heavy rotation for me ever since. Click the link above and you can hear snippets on the iTunes preview thing. Catchy, groovy, twitchy, and glitchy. I was able to get in touch with the artist last week, things have gone really well, and I've just gotten SOTEG booked for A Night Of Villainy on June 11th. Holy fuck, that's huge!
