Mmmm - Friday...
I hate poverty, it goes against everything I believe in (decadence and debauchery, when done right, can require serious cash) lol. Actually, I don't even like money. I wouldn't ever want to be the richest person out there - just have enough that I don't have to worry about it... that'd be nice.
Had a lovely dinner and a couple car bombs last night with Wad and Seether, at our favorite little Irish pub. After dinner we had an interesting chat with the owner, about the quality and price of meat at his suppliers of all things.
I also worked on the old computer a bit. I'm pleased to finally be putting it to some use. It's hooked up to the TV and in low enough resolution that you can read it. I have a wireless keyboard and mouse so there aren't cords going everywhere. The machine has a wireless connection to the home network, and basically runs itunes. I can pump it through the formidable bedroom stereo, or through the miracle of something called airtunes I can pump it through the big system in the living room. Getting it all going is kinda geeky, but on a day to day basis it's all very simple, I just get to listen to what I want without digging through CD's or playing with wires or cables or anything. Love that.
I'm also getting extremely excited for Burning Man. I've already met so many excellent people that are a part of the burner community that even though it's my first time, I feel like I'll be going home or something.
RIP Rick James
