Little bit of an update on what ended up happening....warning, kind of graphic and disgusting. If you get grossed out skip the next paragraph.

They had put me on the final antibiotic, hoping it would work and sent me home. I woke up the next day feeling a little bit better, though not fully. I decided I needed to take my ass to school anyways so I jumped in the shower. When I got out and toweled myself dry I still felt something wet on my leg/hip. I glanced down and the only way to put it is my wound had opened and was pouring pus. This has to be the most disgusting thing I have ever experienced. I could not leave my bathroom and could not go to school. I was stuck in that bathroom constantly changing kleenex that I was holding to the wound for about an hour, struggling not to throw up from the sight and pass out from the pain.

I went to see the surgeon the next day and he told me as he expected it was an abcess that had come to the surface, caused by anything from a pimple to an ingrown hair....but definately not a bug bite. I should be fine. No surgery. I am no longer in any pain though the wound still has a large bump and it itches like mad. I am still on a whole lot of antibiotics but I shouldn't have any more problems.

Everything else is good. I bought myself a PlayStation2. Currently playing SSX3 and responding to comments on SG. It has been a long day filled with work crap that I decided to not go out tonight and sit my lazy ass on the couch and do nothing.
