I am okay with heat when it is dry. I still am uncomfortable as hell but I can handle it. When you mix humidity into the equation I turn into an irritable, grouchy cunt.
It was hot today, and it got hot early, I woke up sometime around six kicking off the blanket and covered with a fine sheen of sweat. Yuck.
Tonight, it is great. One thing I prefer to the desert where it does get chilly at night, right now it is comfortable. That doesn't mean I wouldn't rather be in the desert right now.
I am still upset with the fact that I will not be making it out to Burning Man this year.
I had such a great time last year camping with Thunderdome and as soon as I got home I couldn't wait to get back out there again. Well, due to a lack of funds and no time due to school that was not a possibility this year. Ahhh, I guess there is always next year but I am always nervous that I am missing out on something great and I will never have a chance to witness it.
I remember this time last year at this time we were driving around the desert celebrating our friends birthday. I had never seen this particular friend drunk before as he only drank 2 times a year, at the x-mas DNA party which I hadn't made it too and his Birthday which always fell during BM and last year was my first year out there. I gave me great pleasure to hear him giggle which I guess is something he only does when drunk. Next year. Next year. Next year!
Bar tip:
If you are offered a drink from a member of the opposite sex and when he orders them and then asks you for money, you DO NOT just take the drinks without paying. I guess some guy offered to get some girls drinks and when he asked for money and didn't get it he took off leaving the drinks at the bar. The girls said fuck it and took the drinks. Now we, security that it, have to track down the girls and they won't pay, then decide to pay but leave the bartender 10 bucks short saying they won't pay for it all because it is the guys fault. 9 times out of 10 you will be thrown out for this, even if you pay the full price because bar staff don't want to have to keep a close eye on you all night.

horrifying bar stories--plenty, but fortunately none im privy to having witnessed. the bar i used to work at has had some pretty horendous mishaps with the punk wanna-bes lately.
