I love how rain smells in the spring.

Not just how rain smells, though. Rain in Seattle doesn't usually have a smell, but today it smelled like spring. It smells like...being a kid. Thunderstorms. I miss thunderstorms and lightning bugs and tornado season.

Not a lot, and not all the time, but I do miss them. I have to get back to Tennessee this summer....

When I've been in Ohio for a while and then I go home to Ga, I notice that the air actually smells sweeter there. But then again, it's my home. smile

On purpose?

I hate those days when you come home from work and don't even bother changing out of work clothes before you go to bed, and you have to be back at work when you wake up.

I'm inching ever closer to figuring out what I'm going to do about my work situation. I think a long vacation is in there somewhere.
mrcrisp:
i'm right there with you. i almost passed out in my working whites last night, and now i'm putting off even going back in. it'd be better if they scheduled watch qualifications like real watches, instead i'm left with the ability to procrastinate. terrible, terrible idea.

Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable, or was I miserable because I listened to pop music?

Those of you who know me well may be aware that I listen to some pretty sappy music nowadays. Those of you who are regular readers may know that I have been slightly heartbroken as of late. I think I'm over it, if only for...

sorry about the girl problems frown
lemonkid:
At first I read that as being "getting a job as a bareback" and I was really really confused.

I'll get the fuck over it eventually but it still kind of hurts and I'm irritated.

The smallness of my social circle has become blindingly obvious to me lately. I need more friends that I hang out with regularly.

I need more friends that don't encourage me to drink myself into douche-itude.

I'm frustrated, but I feel like I have spoken my mind, which is something I usually avoid. That much I am proud of.

It annoys me that I sometimes don't think of what I mean to say until well after the fact.

Thanks to all you guys for being supportive.

well, you're the best big little brother a girl could ask for. hopefully things will even out.

I've lately been learning the frustrations in speaking the mind. I can fully sympathize with you.

I talked with Sydni on the phone for two hours last night.

(for those of you that are just joining the program, she and I used to date and I haven't talked to her for about a year and a half now.)

It was pretty liberating clearing the bad air between us. We're just different people and I accept that and there's no reason for...

i understand what you're saying pretty much completely.

my only advise is to make sure that you pick and choose your battles. fighting everything can be just as bad as fighting nothing.

So...there was a girl, and now there isn't. It sucks a lot, and I really wish I could say that's my main problem, but the truth is it takes something like this for me to realize all the fucked up things I've been doing.

I need to find a new line of work. Something that allows for more freedom. I'd like to be able to...

An otherwise fairly productive day with a rough start turned to complete shit over the course of about 3 hours.

I feel like shit and words don't mean very much right now.

Things shouldn't be so complicated.

Fuck.

ELTs are kind of a running joke around NNPTC, and it definitely sounds like their responsibilities have been cut down. i was actually considering pursuing the emergency nuclear welding program, but i'm sure that i shouldn't make a decision until after prototype at least.

I'm still alive.

I've just been sort of busy lately.

Ahhhh, it's cool. I haven't checked show schedules in months, so it's my own fault. I need to be on top of these things!

who's the new girl??

my friend and i used to make armies of short circuit robots and fight off the bad guys with them.

i like the house stuff, but it's more because bratzilla likes me to build her storage sheds for the little lego shovel we have.

So I guess I could tell you about my exciting night, seeing as how I'm holed up in a hotel room in San Jose with shit else to do. Well, actually I was going to go to a Matt Skiba show, but I decided instead to eat a box of Quorn fungus nuggets and drink E&J with pepsi.

So! After loading up on PBR at...

No, that battlecry is copyrighted and in retrospect was a little lame. We'll be kinda like Cobra but with a better benefits package.

RE: your comment in my journal...

I'm going to try to find out what the lunch plans are so I can try to plan accordingly or suggest some other option.

I've been vegan for about a year and half now.

That's cool, we'll just have to hang out when I move back.
