Today I explained nuclear fission and the importance of nuclear powered submarines during the cold war to my Italian coworker. It made my head hurt. Explaining nuclear physics is hard when the other person doesn't speak English incredibly well.

we still get the 10 minute breaks in the morning, which is when everyone hits the vending machines or the coffee table, and then we only have 5 minute breaks every hour after 11, so that's not really enough time for people to sneak out. there are people that log out and back in during study hours just to go smoke, though.
