Fucking shit, it's summer. It will never again dip below 80 in the middle of the afternoon. We are here.
This is my time of year. I know that I'm human in the summer, because I feel more alive, and sometimes, more pain. Alcohol and sunburns, humidity...god, only in the South do you know that it's not really 98 outside, because it feels 110. Stickiness all over you, and you just want to sit naked in a body of water.
It's bittersweet. Six good friends take off to the other side of the country in the middle of this hot season. I'm failing at drinking away a heartache, but I keep trying.
Summer is time for excess. It's the only way to get by. It gets boring...you get creative. I can't wait to feel that it's all finally started. That I am human and I tan and my hair gets lighter and I drink more, read more. Work hard, play harder.

I noticed one of your favorite movies is The Life Aquatic. I just watched it for the first time a couple of nights ago. While I love Wes Anderson, it wasn't one of his better movies, but it was still pretty funny. Maybe I need to watch it a couple of more times. The Royal Tenenbaums is still the best.
