MACHINE FOR LOVERS
I squash my body against my heart, trying to put myself to sleep by making it beat slower. I feel my veins, the blood grasping the arteries, the pressure increasing .... its cadence, its arrhythmia ..... until I finally fall asleep.
It worked some other times, but I think about you I lose my sleep. I beg, request, reclaim, demand, threaten everything and everyone.
A breath is of those things, like happiness or love, that can only exist in our memory, in its absence, deficiency, or loss. A conscious and true love is a definitive revelation and it can only be in the unconscious without you knowing it.
Non-memory. when ..... nor do I remember where.
Perhaps only a game. A game that in spite of my requests, my imagination hides.
But it is in me. Deeply obstinate, like an anchor hooked in my heart to avoid being dragged by the fury of my blood. I do not know how it could be so strong and simultaneously so sublime . So deep it leaves furrows, so light ..... shorter than a second ..... extended into eternity.
Our first kiss ..... do you remember?
