Food is such a beautiful item that I am saddened whenever I hear of others regulating their diet. There are so many things which taste wonderful; animal, vegetable, mineral, fungal, . . . . It is not disrespectful to take a life, while using it's existence to the fullest, in order to sustain another; that is life. However, it is disrespectful not to use the...

I'd been a vegetarian for over a decade when I was on a ski trip in Aspen andd had to keep skiing past some outdoor grill every day. Day 1 & 2 I could do the Tuna burger, but by day 4, I had to have a giant grilled hunk of CHARRED BEEF!!

Happy Thanksgiving! Surprisingly, I have Friday and Saturday off. It has been a long time since I've had time off with the rest of America; scary.

Apparently, it does not matter one way or another.
It is interesting being back on a night schedule. I am now able to get stuff done during the day, and not just on my days off, but I am also able to stay out late now; while still being able to sleep in a little. Currently, I am having problems finding a good late night/early morning coffee shop, to chill in when I do...

Back in the Windy City now, but I did have a very good time in the Big Apple. I am poorer(is that a word) and more knowledgable with cooking. I ate at very good restaurants, which also ranged broadly in price. For fine dining, go to Tocqueville, Veritas, WD-50, and The Modern. For casual fine dining, go to Hasaki, E.U., Prune, and Spotted Pig. For...
