There is still snow, but it is not true snow. 
I will be going home for the X-mas period and look forward to seeing family and friends. I managed to avoid "Black Friday," even when I had the day off, but my drive for buying standard mass market gifts is becoming decidely less as time progresses. However, with cooking as a profession, I find more enjoyable to cook something instead anyways. The only exceptions are books and music, since one could get more involved, as well as generally gaining more insight, with either of those items.
It has been relatively quiet lately, especially since I have been unable to make to any of the SGC events I was previously attending. Work, but mainly my own selfishness in wanting to enjoy myself leads to my inactivity. Yet, I am greatly enjoying my lessons with bass and am spending a decent amount of my free-time practicing.
