Now by the ladies's special request, the one and only, genuine, original... WEREHAMSTER! Please, keep the children away, and don't irritate the animal, ladies and gentlemen, please. Thank you.
If it's a human size hamster it would scare the shit out of me. Of course the animal right activists wouldn't let you kill it even if was tearing appart a town full of people.
"Werehamsters have rights too!!!"
I love that hamster, he looks kind of rabid but I would love to feed him cheerio's, hamsters always look like they are driving a car when they eat cheerio's..do werehamsters appreciate breakfast cereal? I hope so.
To stay in harmony with the Spirit of the Season, an attempt to scare you away with a picture of my Inner Self.

Instead of hibernating, had to go to my publisher's office for a meeting with editor and art director. I planned it as a one-day (train) trip, then I found myself with more things to do than feasible in only one day, and ended sleeping at friends's place. Friends introduced to me their new pet: a X-boX!!!... finally... everybody woke up late the morning after. Fortunately,... Read More
aww..hibernating is more fun that traing-riding, but arguable less fun than x-boxing. hmmmm..
-It's hard for me to piucture an xbox in france. that probably makes me some sort of racist or something, but the concept makes me giggle. damn bigotry.

Ta maitrise de la langue anglaise est impressionnante, by the way.
After some rainy weeks, some sort of Indian summer finally showed up, although no Indian ever lived where I live.
Well... almost no Indian. I found out James Welch wrote last year a book (The Heartsong of Charging Elk) about an Indian who was, in the times of Buffalo Bill Circus, stranded on our distant shores ...
I can confirm for you James Welch readers... Read More
Re-read Brautigan's Dreaming of Babylon. Funny how much the book's plot has in common with The Big Lebowski's. The protagonist's inner monologue even gives an insight on what the pot-smoking, Black Russian drinking Lebowski could have in mind. Thinking of this... I guess what I need now is a Black Russian.
A quiet week-end...(rather dull, maybe?)... spent, mostly, with framing illustrations I did some years ago, and that are to be shown at an exhibition next week. I have still 20 to frame, and it could be fun if it had not to be done in a hurry.
Oh, Brilliant Tororo! I would love to see an illustration of yours. Have you seen Brian Froud's "Good Fairies Bad Fairies?" That's one of my favorite books ever. Illustrator is by far my favorite program. I'm great at recreating what I see, but I wish I was better at caricature and a more illustrative style.
I'll have to check out Yoshitaka Amano. I'm trying to get back into reading more Asian literature.
I was intrigued by this book's title:"The Lone Ranger and Tanto fistfight in Heaven"... so, before a long train trip, I asked around in local bookstores which books by Sherman Alexie had been translated in french and were available. The only one they had was Reservation Blues... and reading it I was far from disapointed. As he has a very personal way of writing, next... Read More
hello Tororo!
thank you for offering your support, I think I am a little too sensitive sometimes.
I do think you would really like the legendary pink dots. the are from amsterdam, but alot of thier fanbase is US & UK, I think...check 'em out if you can, if you would like I could even burn you a CD.
Uh-oh. It seems I missed all the fun... I mean the the Personal Ad Day! at least I hope it was fun!
For those interested I 'll write a (belated) one:
I am: A wonder kid (now in his 50s... but who cares? really?). Queer, attracted by everything bizarre.
A bookworm. A cat person. A vintage movies lover.
I'm into: A former advertising graphic artist,... Read More
welcome back Tororo! I missed your wit & charm. I agree with sincity you speak english very well..
have you ever heard the legendary pink dots? the young at heart comment makes me think you would really love them, Edward Kaspell is just a giant kid after all. I would recommend "curse" or "the golden age" as first albums to introduce you.
Finally I'll end being doing stuff, instead of not doing stuff... in other words, I'll be, again, away from the keyboard for some time. It does'nt mean I forget you guys!
"After long thought and much perplexity, to be very brief was all that she could determine on with any confidence of safety."
Jane austen: Northanger Abbey
So, I'll be very brief, the decision is made. But will I plainly write: lots of work/ lack of will to do it?
Or borrow from ratsonjulia an equally adequate (probably better) formula: should be doin' stuff/ not doing... Read More
gallicism? me=confused and stupid and too lazy to look in a dictionary. I am curous abotu this gift though....I've been making art for myself and my job-ish pursuits so much lately though that I'm getting a big time desire to make little trinkets for other people, so mayeb I understand Morgan's inability to WAIT, but then again, this pertains in no way to my need to be paid for making things.
