Fall From Grace

The Fall from Grace has a position
Between Crossroads at the Intersection of Legs
This is where the family Honor lies
Per the most Holy tradition

Stoning her price to pay
A Woman's public Disgrace
He who Hath no Sin to throw the first stone
While her Lover simply got away

Man-made rules, man-made results
Metal stakes through hands and feet
Crucified...

The world would be a far different place if the earliest Christians (St. Paul & later) weren't so afraid of women.

Thank you for sharing this poem. *hug*

Jaws is back!

I, the awe-inspiring feline creature, have returned from my extended hiatus in Hell (otherwise known as the "Animal Hospital"). One week ago I was taken to this horrible place because I had this unsightly club foot. They poked and prodded and cut me open in two places in an attempt to drain whatever made my foot swell up to such horrendous proportions....

Poor little guy had a rough go of it.
slackkey:
Jaws you will feel better and will soon forget about your shaved leg and cone. Then you will be able togo out and smell the fresh air again. Tori hope your infection is not too bad and you get better soon too. Love your new pics, you are looking hot and sexy

Lovely lyrics from Stevie Nicks

I choose to be his confidant
And to keep him from the fire
I choose to be quietly discreet
If that is his desire
I touch with gossamer wings
To be quiet around you
There is so much going on
You could easily

Chorus:
Wake up with a stranger
Its not something you plan
One night in a world of...

Stevie Nicks has always been an amazing lyricist.

A fellow Suicide Girl (Lennon, check her out she rules) has a song that deals with a similar theme.

"My Beautiful" (later re-recorded as "Where Do I Fit In")

Wake up every morning to the sound of the radio screaming
6:30, 7:30, 8 o'clock and I got to leave
Walk out on the street with nothing on except the shame of last night
And a number in my hand of a man I don't really need

<Chorus>
Where do I fit in
Where is my place here
What do I need to say, what do you want to hear
Where do I fit in
If she's in your bed
Where is my beautiful

Late night, long day, doesn't make much difference to me anyway
You called, I answered, but baby I'm only half awake
Hush little one with you here everything is going to be okay
Is all you say but what if things don't go that way

<Chorus>

It's over, we both know, we're both tired of playing the parts
I said goodbye, you said oh well nothing's really lost
Call every now and then just to hear your voice talk to me
You still say everything's alright but it's not and that's something that you're too blind to see

<Chorus x2>

*breaks out my MP3 player* I carry Lennon's discography everywhere I go for just such an occasion

A Day in the Life of Jaws, Slayer of the Evil Reptiles and Defender of the Great Outdoor Expanse

Greetings, unworthy minions! I, Jaws, have decided to enlighten you on my daily doings since Slave Tori's updates have been rather boorishly similar of late. She has no right to be sad; she has me as her master!

I was flabbergasted yet again today at the...

Dear Great Feline Lord Jaws:
I bask in awe of your majesty. Please honor us with further commentary as events warrant. My Lords and Ladies Fang, Claw, Fearless, Baby, and Jacket send their regards. Tweedledum and Tweedledee are engaged in stealth maneuvers that human ninjas only begin to emulate in some vague fashion (and surely this unworthy one can not see them, for they can not see this one from their wisely chosen places of hiding!) or they would as well.
Sincerely,
grayness

It is I, the Fearsome Jaws, and I have returned!

My anger is much appeased.

Cyranosbrother has written me a beautiful ode, and I will share it with you peons so you know how to treat the great felines of the world!

"So, in ode to Jaws...

You never feed me.
Perhaps I'll sleep on your face.
And that will show you.

You must scratch...

I've owned cats and this was hysterical. "Let's see you ignore me. Sitting on your hands." Hilarious. Loved it.

As requested, here is the first chapter in my book.

Fall From Grace
by Me

For Jessica

Preface

These days are closing in,
The end has become apparent,
We're only here for so long.

Will anyone remember my name,
When time has washed away the dust of our ashes,
When my head rests in a velvet lined casket?

What's out there?
What is my eternal...

you're a fantastic writer, lady.

and cute to boot wink

Very interesting that you chose a song from Atreyu as your intro...

I saw no real errors here because I was captivated by your style. I really like 1st person and the emotion conveyed in this piece was well done. The last bit of dialogue really stuck out as a sort of cliffhanger (good!).

Here's to hoping you post the rest as you get through the revision. Good luck! smile

Down.

Humpty dumpty sat on a wall
Humpty dumpty had a great fall
But why was Humpty on that fucking wall?

All the king's horses and all the king's men
The lover, the fighter, the family of ten
They just couldn't put Humpty back together again

London Bridge Is falling down,
Falling down, Falling down.
London Bridge Is falling down,
My fair lady.

London Bridges...

I've always found the origin of children's songs/tales interesting. I love how Grimm fairytales are really not children's stories when originally written, yet we've modified them to be told as such.

In honor of my nudie picture debut, here is a poem I wrote in my Philosophy of Yoga class to keep myself from falling asleep (not that the class is boring, I just have a hard time staying awake if I sit still too long).

This Is My Body

This is my body-
Scars, bruises, dimples, and all
I am unique because of my flaws....
