So....
Trained on the new job Monday night, then worked my first shift last night. I work again tonight, so I'm typing this before I go slumber in my sleep.
Tomorrow night I'm going to see Horror Punk Icons The Independents! I have missed them oh so much...
I'm not ashamed to say that I'm
with the new Clay Aiken CD. Call me lame, I don't care, but I love him ALOT. His voice is one of the few that makes me "melty". Joining him on my "melty" list in no particular order, Elvis Presley, Morrissey, Cyndi Lauper, Nick Drake, John Mayer, David Bowie.
I'm about to go watch St. Elmo's Fire. I'm wondering if I'll actually see a Man In Motion, or if song lyrics lie.
Cyndi Lauper: 9 days kids!

I don't mind if you listen to Clay Aiken. I think "Mr. Marmelstein" by Barbra Streisand is a great song.
I've never liked Elvis's voice. Never really liked Sinatra's, either.... I do recognize that they are likely the Top Two Stars of The 20th Century Entertainment History. Those other singers are all good, though. I dunno if Bowie's voice has any "technical" merit, it's kinda rough, but hey, great, great records, songs, showmanship, visionary adaptation of image and style. I don't call many musicians geniuses, but Bowie is in that Eno territory of seriously suggesting genius of a sort.
