Cyndi Lauper concert was awesome, I got to meet Jill Sobule and got a picture with her and everything! I also met all of Cyndi's band before the show through the drummer Sammy, who is on my Myspace. I got mistaken for Cyndi when I was at the ATM across the parking lot from the theater. I had on sunglasses, so I guess they just...

I saw something in the Old Testament somewhere about strangling doves to atone for sins. I think it gave you options- strangling doves or burning meat to make a pleasant smell for Yahweh.

Ha ha ha my lovelies! NEW Black Leather Banshees song posted on my band profile on myspace:

http://www.myspace.com/blackleatherbanshees

Not really girly sounding, more somewhat of a Mychal Graves sound to it.

It's a rough mix, and I'll be fixing it, the song is called "Where's My Cake?(Bedelia)"

TG ARRR!!!

calendar cake?!?!?!

I used to read one particular Amelia Bedelia book where she put 'dates' in the cake. Dates from a calendar! Sigh. I can't listen to your song just yet, so for all I know you could be singing about the same book.
tonignosis:
No Eddie my cake is referring to the first Creepshow movie, but I used to enjoy the Amelia Bedelia books also! Thanks for taking me back in time. Once it was me and my friends Henry Higgins, Ramona, Ribsy, Bunnicula, and Amelia Bedelia riding the Magic School Bus, which had my pet snake on it!

So....

Trained on the new job Monday night, then worked my first shift last night. I work again tonight, so I'm typing this before I go slumber in my sleep.

Tomorrow night I'm going to see Horror Punk Icons The Independents! I have missed them oh so much...

I'm not ashamed to say that I'm love with the new Clay Aiken CD. Call me lame, I...

"Gonna be a man in motion"- one of the oddest boasts in history.

I don't mind if you listen to Clay Aiken. I think "Mr. Marmelstein" by Barbra Streisand is a great song.

I've never liked Elvis's voice. Never really liked Sinatra's, either.... I do recognize that they are likely the Top Two Stars of The 20th Century Entertainment History. Those other singers are all good, though. I dunno if Bowie's voice has any "technical" merit, it's kinda rough, but hey, great, great records, songs, showmanship, visionary adaptation of image and style. I don't call many musicians geniuses, but Bowie is in that Eno territory of seriously suggesting genius of a sort.

Gay Pride parade was fun, even though it rained all freaking day. I got to spend time with my brother, and a surrogate mom to me and her daughter.

After the parade and watching a bunch of people get drunk and smoke dope, I went to Half Price Books. I got some really awesome records that I am excited about:

Cheap Thrills - Big Brother...

Yet another post for my huddled masses yearning to break free!

Last post of the weekend until Sunday night at least....

Redid my myspace profile, and put it back to a more "Cyndi-centric" look!

I also watched the first 2.5 hours of Ben Hur. I can't believe I managed to actually get into the movie, since I sort of hate Charlton Heston.

In news that...

Look ma, no life!

JK. SRSLY. NO RLY.

My dad just put in a new radiator fan or something or another in my car. It makes me happy, because now my car blows "the cool" instead of "the hot".

I've been being a Delta bluesmaster today. I told my dad to refer to be as Blind Melon, and have been listening to John Lee Hooker,...

Ah quite the contrary! Having no life means having nothing to write about. And having nothing written means having no "Journal Life". Hey, I just made up a new term hehe! But seriously folks ... being able to say something each day shows that there's something that happens each day that you find noteworthy. Possibly even amusing. And in a best case scenerio you see something beautiful every day.

I make it a point to see as much beauty as I can every day. Although I rarely get the time to write it down. I do seem to be better about putting it here than I am anywhere else though. Probably because I've met more friends here than I have anywhere else my entire life. I didn't even make as many friends in school as I have here. biggrin

My brother went to school with the guys from Blind Melon. And Ween. At least he told me he did. Oh and one of the guys from The Offspring. biggrin

Hot damn! Two posts in two days!

I finally got a job! It's another security guard job, but they are well aware of my "situation" and don't care how I look at work! The supervisor is bisexual, so it should be a little more laid back environment.

My best friend is coming over tonight, and we are going to record new death metal music for...

JOB! WOOHOO! FUNDAGE! YES!
HmmmmmmmMmmmmmMMmmmmm, bi superviser lookin for perks huh? hehehehe (can't say I blame em). That's awesome though that you can look as sexy as you want and they won't care! But is someone standing in a gorgeous black corsette with pink lace trimmins holding a long hard object (mag light) really gonna be scary enough to ward off potential robber dudes? Only time will tell. biggrin
gogobongo:
Woot. congrats on the job, sounds like it'll be cool. For a cartoon, metalocalypse has some really good music.

I went out last night to a benefit for one of my dad's musician friends. I had alot of fun! There's a creepy friend of ours that like to rub my shoulders and pet my head, but even that was mildly exciting.

I'm currenly listening to Incubus. I like the boy from that band a WHOLE lot. Shaddap.

I'm getting tired of filing for unemployment,...

What kinda sociology class? Intro, or some unusual topic?

I took a class once, Marriage and Family, just because 1) I needed to fill my schedule to stay in the dorm, since I'd dropped classes the previous semester, 2) my roommates worked in the Sociology/ Anthropology building. They said the professor was cool, and she was. The nice thing was when she discussed types of marriage, and when discussing the happiest kind, like the really close kind, she said that in previous years, during her first marriage, she would discuss the close/ fun/ happy types and think "I wish I had that kind of marriage," and now with her second husband she could say, "I'm glad I have that type of marriage."

Ben Affleck has been funny at times on SNL and hangs around Kevin Smith... I dunno why, but for some reason there's just something about him that makes people (including me) get mad at him sometimes. I saw some interview with Smith and he was saying the two of them could just be walking in a store parking lot and people would just yell at Affleck like they wanted to kill him or something.
