Yesterday was a great day. 'twas Krispie's birthday. Me, Nnubeh and Krispie's non SG friends (Terry, Keith, Michelle, Emma, Steve, Rachel, Natalie...) went to Southampton to celebrate/get drunk.

The night got off to a slow start, but soon picked up after a few drinks, and when we got into the nightclub (Ikon). Before long I was dancing like a mad, crazed lunatic. I managed to consume thirteen vodka & red bulls, my hands are now shaking. Thirteen is an unlucky number.

The night culminated in spectacular fashion when a guy passed out through alcohol (and possibly drug) consumption provided much amusement for the group. I decided to be charitable and throw him some coins, at least 40 pence in change. I soon became worried about his general well-being and felt the need to check his pulse, I helpfully turned to the bouncers, and people outside the club and announced "It's OK, he's still alive". I feel that I should nominate myself for a bursary prize of some sort for my charity and good nature. All the time the police seemed to not care about this poor blighter, but after a while they hauled him up and carted him off.

Now I am eating fresh pineapple carved by my dad, and listening to Fleetwood Mac. I will shortly wash my car, and look forward to the darts on TV this evening. My life is too exciting for words.
quackers:
howdy. glad to hear you had a great time. Sounds like Southampton still resembles a scene from the film Children Of Men then. Showing consideration towards an utter stranger is worthy of a medal in my eyes. Considering they could have given you the aids.

Yes you do like to appear as a conisseur. The art gallery makes no representation as to its content however the glass door with thin aluminium handle and clean white paintwork made me jump to the conclusion it would be a contemporary gallery.

Just put Massive Attack on, this bassline could kill. Many thanks.

The gallery is aspex and is located kind of behind Cafe Rouge at Gunwharf. Here's a quick map to help you locate it. I'd thoroughly recommend a visit, plan to spend about an hour there, you will have a good laugh. It is currently exhibiting comedy photographic art, some of which you will appreciate.

Damien Hirst is not an artist. According to UrbanDictionary he falls under the category of "artwank"

artwank: Art created purely for its fame-garnering effect for the creator. Overly pretentious/irrelevant art.
