i finally finished xenogears the other night, and i do have to say, that's possibly one of the best fucking rpgs i've EVER played...

i was also thinking about how amazingly deep the whole story of it was... i mean it really kinda gets the noggin working on things like the existence of god, and free will, human rights, soylient green, when humanity begins and ends, the point of existence.

cos seriously... everything we know may be created by god from molecules to your pet ferret to george hammilton's skin.. but he would know everything that happens... supposedly godgave us free will, but how does free will fit into the apocalypse, or god's omniscience?
i think people only make up free will so they can feel like they have some sort of control in their lives.. even though all their desicions could be perfectly mapped out for them alnd they're only connecting the dots.

so far xenosaga is turning out to be just as great... not to mention there's already a guy who makes me think of myself sometimes... it's always nice to be able to connect with people while you're playing a game... kinda makes final fantasy look like the depth equivalent of porkys next to it huh?
