Fear is a funny thing. Well, technically it's a scary, fearful thing, but still. You know what I mean.
One of my friends was talking about meaningless fears the other day, and it kind of got me thinking. Most of my fears can be categorized as small or meaningless. I'm sure that's the way it is for most of us, but to US they're probably not so small.
Being OCD, on top of my "Rituals" a lot of my disorder lies in my fears. My old doctor could pretty much categorize any feeling I had as being an effect of OCD. For instance, my immense fear of Spiders. He said I didn't WANT to not be afraid of them. He said that my mind was comfortable in the fact that if I'm afraid of them, I don't have to deal with them. To me, not wanting to deal with them is the thing that makes it a fear. Sorry, I know I'm babbling, but what this really boils down to is:
What are some of your "irrational" fears? The ones that may scare the living daylights out of you, but you figure other people might either laugh at, or just figure it's meaningless?
EXAMPLE: (and trust me, I know this is the OCD) One of my fears is that if I or someone else uses the "good" towels in the kitchen to clean up something, that not only will my whole day be off-kilter, but someone important (I dunno who, like God or someone lol) will come by, see the messy towel, and think less of me.
Your turn!

I don't know if I have any irrational fears, I kinda think mine and actually most of the fears people have mentioned are pretty rational, except maybe the towel one
I guess if I had to say anything it would be that for a long time I really couldn't ride in the passenger seat of a car with anyone without averting my eyes whenever we braked. I was completely fine if I was driving and in the backseat I was okay, but the passenger seat was a problem.
