well, i survived knee surgery and able to walk around without a cane. i tend to carry it with me when i am on the subway so i don't get run over. much thanks to everyone for the well-wishes and get well soon thoughts.

i have a torn meniscis with a dislocated patella that also has a slight fracture. the doctor thinks i can get away with just ortho and physical therapy. i got my fingers crossed. if not, 4 weeks on crutches while the more involved surgery heals. eep! that's about 3.95 weeks too long....

i have discovered that my pain threshold is waay higher than my IQ.

this fact has always been in the back of my head, but saturday - i think i proved it to the world. i was shooting in phiily at a nightclub with gidgette, came off a weird double step at the DJ booth badly and came down on my knee wrong.
