Hey man! I was starting to get worried that we'd lost you to something more interesting...

In terms of the colored Omnibounces - I would say "none of the above". What I would do is use the normal white one, and use color correction gels somehow adhered to the face of the Flash head (so it's colored before it hits the diffusor) - this is the ultimate in flexibility since you could use everything from the colored gels you see at venues (so you could literally color match to their lights) or use color temp filters that you'd use in a studio setting. I think the colored Omnibounces would ultimately be just as frustrated.

But I'm really talking out of my ass on this one - it's all theoretical at this point. I've been pretty broke lately, so I haven't shot anything for a while. frown

Sorry to hear about SGNY, I don't need to tell you about Southern Hospitality. wink

Which Flash are you using? One of the other things you could try if you have a flip-down diffusor (my Sigma has one) is to simply ditch the Omnibounce and just put the gel between the "lens" of the Flash and the flip-down diffusor. I'm still wrastlin' with the Sigma to get it to work with the omnibounce (again, my impatience ruins every attempt) so I've been using the flip-down diffusor instead.

Theoretically if you're using E-TTL, throwing the gel in there shouldn't make much of a difference, but... this whole thing confounds me right now so your experience is definitely valued...
