Sorry I haven't written in awhile. Life has been madly insane and busy. This weekend was fabulous. Saturday we had a fundraiser for FP's alt library at Barnes and Noble on the Wharf with Michelle Tea and Meliza Banales. It was fabulous and we made money for a good cause and can now buy some new books for the gallery. After that Rocco,Michelle,Me and my baby went out for Italian in North Beach. Later that nite was the Code Red art show at 111 Minna where I showed my performance piece that I had documented. It is called "Can you Hear Me?" and you can find it on my web site at www.tinabutcher.com. Also my gallery web site had a complete make over and looks fabulous you can visit it at www.feminapotens.com and if you feel like donating to helping a grassroots feminist art organization take a gander at my wish list. All proceeds go directly to the organization and helping us to buy installation materials like nails and paint and helping us to pay rent on the gallery ,until those grants come through - which it looks like later this year that is going to happen. Last nite I had a reading at Long Haul in Berkeley for their first erotica nite. I think my smutty smut shocked a few of the people there but sometimes people need to be a little shocked. Thanks to Sicily and all the girls that made Code Red at 111 Minna possible. And thanks to all the members for being super sweet and respectful. It was a really nice vibe. Super thanks to Holly for amazing make up and for making my baby Gauge feel good in an awkward setting. Happy Valentines all. Gauge and I are celebrating on March 14th. She has late classes and we are how we say broke at the moment so we are going to do it up good next month and go to Millenium and a nice hotel.
