Well, I moved into a new place. A very nice apartment on the edge of Reading, PA. Real nice place. Hardwood floors, seven bedroom windows and a good view. I am excited because I don't have a roommate and this is my own place...so I don't have to worry about the kitchen being trashed because of a roomie, nor do I have to be woken up because he is getting up at 5AM and making all sorts of noise in the house which I can hear through the paper-thin walls.

Also, this is the first time I have been truly on my own since before I was married, which was at 21. After my divorce I had nothing to fall back on because I pretty much gave it all to my ex, I had to pick myself up and with the help of my friend that was possible. I was able to save money, get a job that paid more and start a new career that would eventually make me successful and now I can actually be on my own without fear of being strapped for cash.

Of course I can't enjoy the luxuries I did with having a roommate like hitting the bars during the week, spending cash on frivolous things and not budgeting, but with the money I am making I will not have to cut back too much; just cutting back a little will ensure that I can save some cash, pay my bills and enjoy life as well.

Note to all married people here....be sure you know what you are in for if you do divorce, especially if you have kids. I'm not saying stay married for finances, but be prepared to struggle a little if you do choose to go the divorce route...
