I am leaving for holiday tomorrow (Friday). We are off to the beach for a week (Nags Head, NC). It will be a relaxed time of sun, beach and probably drinks. We are driving there because it is not an easy place to get, plus we are not packing light. It will be a 12 hour drive, featuring the Cheasapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. I get...

Sid! Welcome back from vacation. I was wondering why my comments had gone so silent. and yes, I have a few set ideas that I'm twirling around. Going to try and shoot it late next month. I have a few things to get ready for it and a few things to buy... and some weight to shed.

So the end of the Morrisey saga was that we went had a fantastic time. It was probably the best concert im a few years. My partner was very excited because Morrisey played her favorite Smiths song "Girlfriend in a Comma." She also drank a bit too much and was a bit naughty on the drive home. I will not say more.

On to other...

Glad you had a great time at the show! And that you made it home without an accident!

Ach, aging...I'm giving up smoking cigs this week so my skin won't age prematurely, and tanning? Fuggedaboudit! For the age spots...Avon makes a great fading cream for freckles and marks. It smells good (but not too girly) and moisturizes too!

Hipster hats, eh? Well, there's the conductor hat, but that's a bit faded. Don't even think about a trucker hat! Irish caps are always neat, the Elvis Costelloish, mini fedora can work on some people, but I'm always a fan of the classic fedora. Very stylish, and anyone can pull it off. It goes casual (in a black straw weave) or formal (traditional felt with Harlem-esque feather).

xoxos!

To follow up on the Morrisey story, the concert has been rescheduled for tomorrow night. My partner has been complaining. She is not a Morrisey fan and now I am making her go to see him twice in two weeks. I feel bad, but I do not know anyone else who would go. So yes, I am making her go to see the miserable Steven...

Have you ever wondered what a group of 40 somethings old Smiths fans look like? I got my answer last night when I went to see Morrissey in concert. I have to tell you we are aging quite well as a group. I saw plenty of lovely ladies, some very nice ink, some pretty cool hipsters, well preserved gay men and the odd D&D geek....

Went to a party yesterday that turned into a concert. The host is in a band and he invited his friends who showed up with gear in tow. A local "celtic core" band, The Gobshites played first. They play drinking songs, which was perfect as all I wanted to do was drink my new replacement for Guinness. A few weeks I found that Guinness is...

I have gotten some good news. It looks like I am going to be an uncle again. My sister told me yesterday that she is pregnant and is due in early Feb '08. She also told me that I will likely be the godfather. I hope she realizes that I cannot fulfill the meaning of that, as I am not Catholic. I'll make sure the...

Awesome. Being uncle/godfather basically means you're expected to buy more expensive presents, I think. Although my uncle slash godfather owes me Christmas and birthday presents this year. So, uh, I guess no responsibilities at all really.

Regardless, that's still good news smile

My sis is also pregnant, due on Christmas Eve - and in the few weeks that she's been pregnant she's been a total arse and now we're not speaking, how miserable is that?!

Hope you have better luck with your sis.............

I am adding a new occupation to my list. I have become an ordained minister, twice. I went to the Universal Life Church Ministry site, filled out their form and voila, I am a minister. Back in 2006 I was also "ordained" as an American Buddhist Church Minister. It is all a bit of a lark. I can actually legally marry people in most of...

So I decided that I was going to try my hand at being a lab rat. A few months ago I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Nevermind that most people that have this are women. I heard about a drug study and thought, "what the hell!" Anyway, I went to the clinic today. I filled out a shit load of documents and signed my privacy away....

I have been on SG for a few days now. It is a bit too much. Too many sets to check out, too many stunning ladies, too many groups, too many posts. I am not complaining. It will take me a bit to process it all. SG certainly is a lot more than I thought it would be. It is like a MySpace all growed...
