Special blog for Sunday:

My compatriot and friend Katty's new set was rejected. Check her set and vote. She is the sweetest girl!

EDIT: Last night I drank too much and this morning I woke up still drunk and still with a cold. On the plus side, I think I avoided a hangover and the silly board was a blast. connielingus and Lusyd had...

Acacia continues to do better. She is now awake and responding. She is not out of the woods yet. Things are certainly looking up. She asked for her iPod which the girl had filled with all her favorite songs.

I take back what I said about bangers and mash. People seem to like it, so who am I to tell them otherwise.

I am doing...

Glad to hear that Acacia is getting stronger. Best of luck on the ride. Don't push it though, if you're feeling too badly to complete the ride.

Today is England day at work. Actually it is "International Food Day." My lame work mates picked England for my team, while I was away on assignment.

Those of you that know me, particularly my UK friends, know that I am a huge anglophile. I watch BBC-America channel, listen to BBC radio, watch Sky 1 and follow the footie. I love the mod and punk...

Aha, in that case, your day of festivities does sound like a bit of a nightmare! Hehe

The last time I heard the most popular dish in the UK is now Chicken Tikka Massala - not by bag at all, but it does show you how diverse the UK is.

Enjoy the ride (today right?) - let us know how you get on, and also how Acacia is too.

Some good news...

Acacia's lungs have started to respond. (That is her name, you guys deserve to at least know her name) I am not sure if they did a tracheotomy, but they were able to remove fluid build up from her lungs. They have shut down the lung machine and the lungs have responded and are working, a bit wet but working. She is...

Neighbor Update:

Things are not looking good. Apparently the lungs were damaged during the transplant. The doctors are hoping that they will heal with time. That means that she is on a breathing and heart machine. She has had a tube down her throat for so many days now, that they are concerned about damage to her vocal chords. They were supposed to be doing...

It's official...I have the autumn blues. I hate the shorter days. I hate the colder weather. I find nothing redeeming about the leaves dying out and falling all over my yard for me to pick up. It may be because where I spent my childhood was eternal spring. We had two seasons, dry and rainy.

If I could only convince the girl, I would move...

I wish it was cold here, it was like 87 degrees yesterday.
The piercing is good, my 4th time getting it done. The piercer said it would hurt more and bleed. It didn't.
I already changed the balls on it tongue

...when the blues embrace all we can do sometimes is to step back and find a quiet beauty inside them andlet it inspire you...and then let that inspiration turn the dismal blues into a prism of thoughtful colours.

New Update:

The transplant operation was completed successfully last night at 3 AM. They had to repair the tricuspid valve on the right side of her heart. They also found a small hole in between the left and right side of the heart. The doctors decided to leave it alone. With the new lungs, the pressure on the heart will be much less, so the...

I can't believe I have been on for just 4 months. In that small amount of time there has been a few people that have come and gone. I look at my friends list and there are 6 people in the gray. Two of which I know will not be back. So new rule, if you are my friend and are leaving let me know....

Last week was a crazy week. At work, I was assigned to a high pressure short timed project. We have a task that needs to be completed in three weeks or less, has a lot of consequences and it rests on me. I have been feeling the stress big time. Two weeks left!

The weekend was restful, however. Saturday, I hung around the house, went...

Sounds like you've got a lot on in the next week or two, I wish you the best of luck with it all. Shame about your misfortune with the auction and it certainly does seem as if there was something dodgy going on with the bid but still, you win some, you lose some.

Neighbour's health bill? Is that like when you're not insured? I won't pretend to know much about the subject but I've heard a few things about it. I've been meaning to go see Michael Moore's "Sicko" too and your post has now reminded me.

Right, I really am off to bed now, nunite!!

xx

PS: Give your animals a kiss from me; I'll give my doggy a kiss from you.
