Acacia Update
As I wrote on my last blog, Acacia is out of the ICU. The doctors were talking about a possible release from hospital by today. The past week had been phenomenal. She had been off oxygen during the day, the trach had been removed and she was no longer on dialysis. Yesterday she had another misstep. Her lungs filled with fluid. The doctors have postponed the idea of release and they are looking to see if they have to rethink dialysis. They are hopeful that they can control the fluid building with lasix. She is also back on oxygen. On balance, she is still doing a lot better now than last week at this time.

Frivolity Update
SGNY's "Second Annual Holiday Destresser" at Brooklyn'sBarcade was a smashing success, thanks to our fearless leader BigPoppa99.

BigPoppa99, LaceyK, Vimes, SiamKittie, NadzOfSteel, Jay_Blank, Hunter, Luna, anti_duff, Vegemite, TowrOfStrength and the lovely Carmen. It is hard to remember not only the names but also the site names, so sorry if I forgot to list you.

I drank some wonderful Fishermen's Lager from the cask. Unfortunately my drinking mates were scared off by the hickory aroma. Wimps!

I liked that dogs were allowed.





The best was that I had a chance to cozy up with SiamKittie

I was a dismall failure at the old school arcade games



but I found other ways to amuse myself
