It's around $1200 here for a one bedroom...and that is still on the relatively cheap side. $700 or $800 seems cheap to me right now. 
I was looking for an apartment, but have come to the conclusion that I could never ever afford one. But, you can find a really nice one bedroom for a lot cheaper than that in Portland. I had a two bedroom, two bath for $650. It was one of the nicest places I have ever lived in too. I want to know where pharmgirl lives...
