They say that the key to success in any job is making yourself invaluable. But sometimes I think that you can become too invaluable. In the (almost) four years that Ive been at this job, I think Ive done just about every duty. I started off in accounting matching invoices, worked my way into receptionist and then assistant. Finally I became story editor/creative exec. But under all those various titles Ive also been used as makeup test subject, convention booth attendant, researcher, in-house writer and now studio photographer.

I guess my point is, while its nice to be valued, sometimes its better not to mention that you worked as photographer on your high school newspaper... At least not until they give you a raise

In other news

I finally saw the new Harry Potter. Wow, does that movie make you realize what a talent-less hack Chris Columbus is! This movie actually looked the way I always thought the other two should have looked.

My only complaint is that the script felt a little rushed. The course of the school years gave the other two stories sound structures that really conveyed the passage of time, whereas this film felt like it could have taken place over a week But thats a nitpick. It was, without a doubt, the best film in the series yet.

Other than that Nuthin much just stuff.

I saw it the other day too. I know what you mean by rushed, but aren't most adaptations. The people behind me were complaining about story lines that had been left out. I was entertained, having not read any of the books. I thought that was Gary Oldman... Ever seen Naked ??? One of my faves. The same actor (whose name escapes me) played Prof Lupin.
