OK, first off, sorry for not keeping up with all of your blogs. Things have been pretty insane here and my time has been super limited. I will do my best to catch up soon.
Why, have things been so crazy? Glad you asked. The Department of the Army just reclassed me from 11C to 11B due to shortage. For most of you that doesnt really mean anything, but for those that know about infantry, thats a big fucking deal. Keep in mind this "reclass" comes in the middle of a combat tour. New, chain of command, new job, new AO, new mission set......new headaches. The good news is I dont have to fuck with Mortars anymore and Airborne, Air Assualt and Ranger schools are a hell of alot easier for me to get now.
So, I went nuclear on the lady in email. I pretty much laid out my complaints/issues in one big email. It basicly ended with acknowledge this or there is no "US". She didnt respond for 3 days.
Bah. I still call the boys everyday that I can so..ya, its wierd. Well, yesterday we got to talking about Ethan (my oldest) for like an hour. Just about how is school is going and what hes into...which is the earth, he wants to save the planet. So now we are taking the kids to SeaWorld and the Aqurium in San Diego when I go home for mid-tour leave in a week. Not even the slightest mention or hint of the fight we had not a week ago. Almost as if it didnt happen at all. WTF. I have to say that is the wierdest fucking thing in the whole world that anyone can just opt to decide an issue doesn't exist....and especially do it so well. So, im rolling with it. If "We" ever come up im just cutting that off and refusing to talk about it while assuming im free to do whatever the hell I want. I mean why not?
