what's better than buying cool stuff?
buying it with someone else's money!!

i got the closest i've ever come to being a personal shopper today. the bookstore i work at is opening up a location in the art museum on campus. for the last couple days we've been checking in and pricing merchandise for the new store. today we put it on the shelves which meant that we needed to buy displays.

since the art museum has a huge asian collection (apparently), the main theme of the store is asian. thusly, my boss took me shopping with her and we bought about $800 worth of chests, baskets, sea grass mats, urns... etc to display things in the store.

the COOLEST part was when i found this bitchin' stair-step-esque chest that was just under $400. i commented on how cool it would look/merchandising possibilites and she went ahead and bought it. nuts huh?

have i sold my soul to the devil by suceeding and gaining clout in retail?
