DAY 14: A picture of someone who inspires you:
I have a few of these as well...for various reasons ranging from the intellectual to the spiritual and outward expression.

First- a bit cliche, but it has to be said because it is true for me:
Bettie Page:
For her confidence and flawless modeling abiilities. She began a revolution in my eyes- especially with the bondage and harder edge/side of pin-ups...to me she is someone to be awed: kind, tolerant, wild and erotic.
Secondly: Charles Bukowski. Among other poets, from Shakespeare all the way down the line to the modern writers of our day, poetry is an art form I have always been passionate about, been semi-respectable at writing myself blush and something that leaves me inspired and more connected with the essence of life itself.
One of my favorite poems by him; it is the just one of the most ingenius short poems ever written:
I Met a Genius
I met a genius on the train
today
about 6 years old,
he sat beside me
and as the train
ran down along the coast
we came to the ocean
and then he looked at me
and said,
it's not pretty.

it was the first time I'd
realized
that.

awesome, huh? smile

my Father: he worked himself up from tending bar and being a manager at McDonald's to being the CIO of an international corporation. He is the smartest man I've ever met, and even through all of his imperfections and the issues which pervaded our relationship all through highschool etc., he is also the best man i have ever met. He means well, and again, his pragmatic understanding and infallible logic are something anyone should hope to obtain during their life. He graduated from SUNY New Paltz back when that was not exactly something to be proud of and now has teams of people working under him in a company that doesn't hire anyone without an Ivy League education. Chelsea Clinton didn't even get a job at the last place he was employed. Sorry, sounds like I am bragging...but I'm not...like I've said before: he is a jaded man that gets more bitter the older he gets, but I love him and wish to be as successful as he is one day.

My mother- because she is the most honest and kind woman i've ever met. She truly is the sweetest thing in the entire world and came from an extremely poor and broken home. The way she has come to terms with her and my father's success was graceful and beautiful in itself. Truly, she is the Martha Stewart/Mother Theresa of our time.

And again, my Husband, Art, and my Son, Alexander.
My husband, for his passion. I've never met a man with such strong morals and convictions. I will always be inspired by his creativity and drive. Talk about a man who can do anything he puts his mind too; my Husband just needs to feel the word "challenge" in the air, and he rises to occasion, victorious in the end. My passion, my balance, and the only person who can keep me in line. THAT is impressive in itself wink
My son, for his ability to love me so much without condition, and who could NOT be inspired by the joy of a child: everything in the world is new and utterly amazing. I need a little more of that in my life: enjoyment of the small things no one usually appreciates as an adult.

Until later, SG! xoxo TnT
