bad day yesterday...even worse today...that emergency phone call actually came...my grandmother has stage 4 lung cancer and was put back in the hospital yesterday with an upper res. infection and a bit of confusion too...now i am waiting on word from the rest of the family so i know whether i should go down to LI so she can see her great-grandson one more time. She and I were never close, but it is times like these that make me wish i had been there a lot more than i was...she always said that I "have more brains than the rest of the family combined..." and i just hope i can live up to that pedestal she put me on...
