If she wants to look around, you can't restrict her without damaging your relationship. Hybernating is pretty much all there is to do in WA. Atleast you have some nice sunny weather. 
I had a good christmas. Got stuck on the road trying to fly home but it wasn't too bad. Part of the price of being a pilot is learning patience. Pretty mellow holiday which suits me fine.
