I've come to realize (long ago, but I was reminded of this today) that there are few who appreciate a sarcastic sense of humour. It oft happens that, unbeknownst to myself, I offend someone by making a comment about them which I had stated while not in earnest.
While online, I can at least be saved by the use of '
