Well I'm moving into a hippy anarchopunk house and I'm not sure how I feel about it. Being dirty, world music, stealing food, and trust fund punks. I'm not sure I want to spend the next 9 months being the odd girl out, with my lipstick and hairspray and stripper heels. And my working for a living and all.
Douchebag update: That asshole on the bus is a DJ at the college radio station. I went to visit my friends during their show, and he came in to be next. As he was putting on the first song of his show, he went to turn off the turntable that was playing their last song, and swatted the needle across a rare early White Zombie LP. Irreplacable record ruined by stoner! Also, despite being a "hip hop" DJ, he apparently doesn't know how to use turntables. And his name is Soup.
Soup Quote of the Week: "Words are like light, man."
Some might say it's a waste of energy to hate someone this much, especially someone I don't know, but I say those people don't know how to have fun.
Playlist: Joy Division "Disorder," Damned "New Rose," Phillip Glass "Dracula," Rolling Stones "Play With Fire," Nick Cave "Weeping Song."

you have such a great pile of bands in your favorites... i absolutely adore the Adicts (i'm a sucker for Steamroller and Viva La Revolution), i am a venom and motorhead fan from way back, and i have been obsessed with all things zombie for years now (even got some swank zombie artwork inked on my shoulder) i met some of the cats from House of 1000 Corpses this weekend, they were very cool and friendly...
also, i just started listening to Johnny Cash this week and HOLY SHIT. man, i can't believe it took me until this year to get into Johnny Cash and Joy Division...

i also seem to be running into loads of people who dig the Fountainhead lately. its probably one of the most influential books i've read...
