I saw a forum thread in the newbies thread today. It's main topic was "What was your favorite Pokemon." I honestly didn't want fill half of the post with my nonsense and decided to put it here instead. So, here I go...

When I was a little I remember a very important part in my life. I was around 10, maybe closer to 11, when my family was at a very hard point in our lives. I remember coming home from a very long day from school. I had been trying my best to keep my head down from other people despite everyone trying to talk to me. When I came home I turned on the television and made food. It was then that I heard that familiar song. It was my first episode. It was Ash at his very beginning of his journey. I remember that an owner had abandoned his Charmander in a very big storm. Ash had decided to go out and save the Charmander. It was then that I started to feel better about most of the world. That a person could put their own personal safety aside for another person just to help and save them. That's why Charmander has always been my favorite Pokemon. It reminds me that there are people in the world who do help others and do care to help.
