I'm trying to read Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man right now and I have a question:
is it good?
you see I've seen the technique used before. I've used the technique before and gotten in trouble for it. I know homeboy did it a long time ago but I kinda feel like it isn't very new ground. I guess...

I really can't say if it's Fevers and Mirrors quality, because I really haven't listened to that album much. I know, I'm a poser. I think the songwriting is great though. His lyrics are simple but paint vivid scenes. Most people like the acoustic-folkish album I'm Wide Awake, Its Morning because it more like his other stuff, but I like the more electronic popish Digital Ash In A Digital Urn. It seems to be a further exploration of what he was going for on Lifted.
There is no chance he's coming around here. There is a tour but the nearest stops are Raleigh and Atlanta, like next week.

I'm wasting to much time with not enough to show for it. The internet and I are learning together but the revisions are paramount. its funny to write this here, this spot has become a bit of a journal for me.

"There is but one truly serious philosophical problem, and that is suicide. Judging whether life is or is not worth living amounts to answering the fundamental question of philosophy. All the rest--whether or not the world has three dimensions, whether the mind has nine or twelve categories--comes afterward. These are games; one must first answer. "

Cool! The one I really loved was Open Seame, though. Mmm... interactive fibers installations.
Sake is really good, though I generally prefer cold sake. Hot sakes are either heated unnecessarily, thus destroying the flavor, or cheaper sakes that are intended to be heated. I like the good stuff.
The Soviets were crazy! They still say things there on the news like, "Well, obviously we're having financial problems because of the Jews." Insane!

I remember the 3/5 Compromise. I took AP US history and Scholars Early American History, and an Early American Lit course, so I got that shit covered. It's on lock down!
So what do you think you deserve for not voting? Becuase you already GOT something bad. It's called The President.
How'd the pitch with Bernard go?
Isn't Graham Greene Margaret Atwood's lover boy? Or is that a different Graham? No need to send a book; there's a library nearby. Just recommend one and tell me why you like it and I'll decide to check it out... or not. But in that case, I probably wouldn't have read it anyway and then you'd have sent a book for no reason.
But if you really want to send me something, make it something from my wishlist!

Nobody wants a statue of Stalin except to piss on and hurl shit at. Stalin was like another guy, though much much worse, in that if not for a war people would have nothing to praise him for. well except for ending a houseing shortage.

Wow, I'll tell the next 330-lb 13-yr-old who rattles off Hitchhiker knowledge to me that you think so.
I am NOT a sucker for this particular well-meaning bad guy. He thinks he's helping to bring about the apocalypse. Crazy! And he treats gay Americans as second-class citizens. And he wants to get rid of abortion rights. And he's fighting a totally unnecessary war "for freedom," even though it clearly isn't. I get so tired of the Orwellian double speak and the feeling like I'm reading Brave New World, but it's not as funny this time because it's real. Sigh...
Haha, well, I realized I forgot to delete your mesage that I was reponding to and to respond to your new journal entry, so I edited. I could have skipped it, because it still would have made seen, but I was feeling benevolent. Heh.

i agree our current language is much more vulgar than it was a few hundred years ago, but there is still syntax and grammar, and we can't just change our language because people aren't willing to pay attention to that anymore.
Haha, Iron Chef references are invariably funny. But yours are particularly funny.
I'm using acrylics, and yes, you may have a cheese biscuit. Though I can't. I'm on a fast, after all, and I have taken a vow against eating the body of Our Lord Cheesy McCheeserpoof until the correct time, when the "special Kool-aid" is served.
I'll check out those sites soon.
