"back in 2000 I went to DC for the imf protests and on the way back we visted Arlington national cemetary. Arlington is a very special place for me. I had an Uncle at Chosen Resovior, my dad was draft and sent to vietnam, another great uncle at Iwo Jima and supposedly a granfather and great grand father in the two world wars. I havn't signed up but I have promised to if there is a draft. so when I walk among the soldiers who died in the service of the republic it is important to me. it is a communion. and I had this kid with me named justice and justice responded to my respect of the place with something like, alot of idiots who died for nothing. justice thought he knew and for all his yoga and herbal remedies and fuzzy wamr belief he was full of shit to me forever after because he said that.

so this whole exchange is really about you talking about peadophilla as if it was an academic idea like the nature of black holes or what happens if you go back in time and meet yourself. but peadophillia is real and it has conseqeunces and you marginilise them while pushing forward a culteral/moral relativity argument which cannot be defended once you look at the common good. that is what this is about."

I can understand and symapthise with your sense of duty due to your family relations. A lot of wars are unnnecasary but I respect the passion of those soldiers involved on both sides. Justices honesty ought to be respected tho and is yet again a fine example of your judgemental way. "Nap, he's wrong, fuckem. I will not see the other side of this, I'm right." War brings out many good things in people and hopefully that we'll soon see how rediculous it is to go war. Yes there have been good causes for war. Stop seeing me as so limited. You just don't know me well enuff throw the sorts of comments you do in my direction. Yes some of my statements are brief and unexplained but that doesn't mean I can't explain them. Because you've sed things like "...are you going to read nice books to paedophiles till they promise not to do it again... etc" I really can't be bothered explaining jack to you. Studying philosophy has not made you wise. You have information. Some wisdom. But simply I have seen and experienced a very different type of life that has seen extremes of compassion and miracles and a lot of unnecesary suffering and stubborn stances taken. Often by myself, but also those around me. As I've sed a few times you wont understand that depth till you've dug yourself deep into hell and pull yourself out the otherside. It will crush you. It crushes everyone, no exception.
A freind I knew well is or was, it's been years since we spoke, a paedophile, well in your opinion. He had trouble dealing with his shit due to circumstnces. But he showed me so much faith in God, I started to wonder what the hell faith was at all. He's a great guy, nothing bad about him at all. It's an individual thing. That's why it can't be judged. Every human is as deep as the next. Do not take this as "paedophile showed me faith so... ". Is that your brain I can hear ticking from here?
So it's about giving the problem the respect and attention it deserves rather than saying, "Go to war it's your duty because of democracy". There is simplicity in all things but that approach is more like a cop out. Compassion is true simplicity when looked at correctly and no god is needed for it. With compassion we see a greater truth in all things becasue compassion takes patience and tolerance. Somtimes it's right for a soul to be killed, but I don't think tortured. Cruelty and suffereing does create an energy that affects all things. I don't know if scientist are measuring such things but the aura photos have been around a long time now. MOst indigenous people have a much greater undrstanding of such metaphysics and care for the land. Yes it's o.k. to eat meat in my book. A change could mean a better combination or buying organic. Am I still as limited, gee I hope not.
Veganism is the most sustainable and compassionate diet. Yes there are other similar diets. Meat costs a lot to produce and offers no more nutritional benefits. Is McDonald's are caring sharing bunch? and cigarettes and alcohol and so and so. Good people are involved in all these things.
People are involved in spiritual research be it Bhuddism, Zen, Toa, Hindu, even Christian and Muslim people are becoming less dogmatic and searching deeper as meditating which the religions don't mention as a means to know God. You do realise God is self? Romantic as you may percieve or you've probably got some niggling aversion to this sort of wording. The recent twin towers and the likes are great for this sort of thing. America will go thru more of this to be sure. It has hurt a lot of innocent people out of fear of exposure and greed. Sure democracy is great but there's no white people in America with the near genocide of the natives and altho there's a lot of bling in hip hop these days I don't think 400 yrs of slavery has been forgoten. I heard a on a fela kuti Red Hot tribute saying "next time it's gonna be more than a riot". I can think of better things to happen but it's likely inevitable.

I'm not poverty stricken can I can judge a poor person for stealing? Damn why is it my examples work so much better than yours? I haven't studied anything but pamphlets. You arn't better than anyone. you have much to offer, a huge drive, but you're very bitter, don't let it take from the sweetness of your heart. The most helpful direction is often as potentially corny sounding as that. Delivered with sincerety it can't be argued. I'm not better than you in any way but I have developed certain quailities more. You'll probably disagree and discredit me with weak remarks unaware I don't need your acceptance. When you've had the whole world laugh at you and clean all the shit off and realise like that Pearl Jam song Alive that you just move on. or face it courage or rather you realise tha's what courage is so long as approach yourself with sincerety in search for authenticity. You might call it observing the tao, but when I do it it's half hearted, right?
