On the matter of Hemmingway, be careful not to confuse a character with the author. Hemmingway was a man who liked his drink, he would get up a six am and write until about noon at which the drinking would begin, hes been quoted as saying that his preferred method of writing was while somewhat hung-over, not something I encourage or even find to be true for myself personally, but it seemed to work for him.

I was stoned all the time when I was younger, until I found the constant haze counterproductive. No doubt Hemingway had issues, (who doesnt) the physical and mental scars of World War I certainly amongst them. Interestingly another of last centuries premier writers J.R.R. I just learned how to play the harmonica. I think it was version of tukey in the straw. rocking out riffing and improvising. lost it. but I'm learning where the notes are. I''m learing tricks about composition and note bending. I'm pretty excited but it is wierd to lose it so fast.

I don't overlook that. But it's a century ago, the perpetrators are long dead and the nature of the Turkish political system has changed radically since then. I really can't say if it's Fevers and Mirrors quality, because I really haven't listened to that album much. I know, I'm a poser. I think the songwriting is great though. His lyrics are simple but paint vivid scenes. Most people like the acoustic-folkish album I'm Wide Awake, Its Morning because it more like his other stuff, but I like the more electronic popish Digital Ash In A Digital Urn. It seems to be a further exploration of what he was going for on Lifted.
