The best villains are the one sthat do disgracefully bad cool stuff that you end up rooting for them. Kakihara totally falls into that category with Vader and Lecter. So I find so I do.

Jumped up Jesus Christ - Ichi the Killer is the most deeply unpleasent, irredeemable, upsetting, fucked up, violent nonsense that I've ever watched. I shouldn't have liked it... but I did and feel filthy for doing so.
But what was up with that ending. Still can't figure it out. I think Kakihara ended up lobotomising himself with those spikes - everything after was a dream/fantasy when they entered his ears. Only Mr. Miike knows, and the guy who did the Manga comic, really know for sure. The producer didn't have a fecking clue on the commentary.
Have to admit I did FF the tongue slicing and the fat burning scenes - they were way too strong. But the bit that really unsettled me... when the cop but on the dog ears. That's when it hit home that this film was FUBAR.
That is what I thought. What a film.

I'm trying very hard to meet new people from different places, but..I'm such an anti-social dork sometimes. Plus, in Milwaukee, there really isn't anywhere to go for those of us under 21.. But I did make it to a new store today that sells hair dye, incense, that kind of stuff. Too bad it was empty..
I think I'm trying to decide if I miss having someone to confide everything to, or not. It's almost a war with myself. Trust issues, yay.
The thing about letting people decide if they like me or not is whether or not I'd miss the friendship if it got far enough that they could decide something like that. But, like you said, if I expanded the circles I socialize with, I could not go so deeply into friendships, maybe.
