It looks like I might be getting a job in Alaska, teaching highschool kids film editing and general production procedures. I don't know how much it pays, but screw it, it's better than working at WalMart or something.
I'm looking over the Calendar section of the Anchorage daily news, and I have to say the nightlife in Alaska hasn't changed much since I left 4 years ago. The same people play the same shitty music at the same venues. I'm going to miss LA.
No good rock spots up there. It's all country, house, or top 40s bullshit. One good blues bar, but I can only handle blues bars so many times before I murderfy someone.
In other news 2 days till the going away party!
the rum will flow like wine, and the wine will be thrown at the people who bring it. We don't need no pussy 10% alcohol by volume drinks! WE NEED THE 100 PROOF!
RANDOM FACT ABOUT ME:
I have a great fear of heights. I once had to hang a 2000 watt light to a fixture 20 feet in the air by using a SkyJack moveable platform. When I got to the top, I went into a sort of catatonic freeze for about 5 minutes, for fear that if I were to move, the whole machine would come crashing down and I would be killed for sure. It took 15 minutes to hang a light that should have taken 3. I haven't messed with a SkyJack since.
