OK, so I spent the entire weekend up in NoHo.
Friday:
After work, my friend asked me to help shoot this project they're doing. It turned out to be a real simple lighting gig that took a total of 4 hours to do. I got free food, and $40 out of the whole thing... score.
I figured if I was up in the area anyway I might as well stay with a friend of mine and hang out, so I got drunk and kicked it with him.
Saturday:
I hung out with JJ_R0x0rZ all day. We just sat around and watched Anime at her work until she could close up at 7. We were both tired as hell and really didn't feel like doing anything too active. So then we had dinner at this awesome Thai place around there, and hit up the arcade for some crazy japanese videogame action. Those Japanese sure do know how to make em'.
I went back and hung out with my friend again, got drunk, passed out.
Sunday:
I went over to my friend Marc's place for a BBQ and all-day drinking extravaganza. So got drunk, stumbled to a bar for some more drinks, went back to his place, tried to watch the Shining, passed out.
JJ was supposed to go with me, but when I tried to call her, her phone was going crazy so I didn't know if she wanted to go or not.
I'm sorry JJ....
Monday:
recovered from Friday - Sunday.
which wraps up my weekend-in-review!
I got my tickets to go and watch my cousin get married in July. He asked my brother to be in the ceremony, but I was left out. boohoo. Now I can get drunk the night before and not have to worry about standing up there for the entire thing. I can pass out in one of the back pews till the reception.
I hope they have an open bar.
For some odd reason I really want to get into Falconry. I don't know why, but it just seems really cool. Have a huge bird of prey that you can watch hunt. I just dig it.
Oh well... that's it for me. I'm off to go do those things I do. Hope you all are doin' fine.

I borrowed if off my mate. I did this because it's a movie YOU love so surely I can't fail to love it.

But what was up with that ending. Still can't figure it out. I think Kakihara ended up lobotomising himself with those spikes - everything after was a dream/fantasy when they entered his ears. Only Mr. Miike knows, and the guy who did the Manga comic, really know for sure. The producer didn't have a fecking clue on the commentary.
Have to admit I did FF the tongue slicing and the fat burning scenes - they were way too strong. But the bit that really unsettled me... when the cop but on the dog ears. That's when it hit home that this film was FUBAR.
That is what I thought. What a film.
