Wow.
I finally got to talk to DblFstedBeenonza yesterday. She kicks so much ass it's not funny. Ask her about sock puppets some time
I can't wait to have her kick my ass at the bowling alley on Friday. I think my last score was floating around a 120 or so.
I also started my Christmas shopping yesterday. My little sister has been bugging me for a Yu-Gi-Oh duel disk thingamajigger for MONTHS now. It was way more than I was planning on spending on her, but I know if I don't get it for her she'll be crushed.
I'm being strong-armed by a six year old.
It's my own fault though. I bought her a deck after she told me she was into Yu-Gi-Oh, thinking that it would help her with her reading and reasoning skills. So far she seems to really enjoy it, and she's starting to grasp the ideas of strategy, so I don't feel too bad about it.
I've convinced my brother to buy me a suit for christmas instead of a gun, which was his original intention. He's a collector and I've gone to the shooting range with him in AK several times as a kind of bonding experience, but I don't think I would ever go enough to make me OWNING a gun make any kind of sense.
And I'd wear that suit all the time, so.
I'm gonna wrap this up, as I'm rambling. Besides, I have work to do today, for once.

My daughter played a lot of Pokemon and Magic the gathering, I do think the games are helpful in teaching reasoning and strategy. Probably worth the investment although I have no idea what a Yu-Gi-Oh duel disk thingamajigger is or how much it would cost.
I think you are making the good call with the suit. I don't think there is anything wrong with responsible gun ownership but the suit seems a more useful choice.
Hope the bowling was fun.
