Ok.... after 2 all night editing sessions with my normal job in between.... we're pretty close to finishing. All we have to do is color correct and do some minor adjustments to the framing and we'll be in the clear.
We have to get this done by Sunday because the composer needs the finished project to start his work... and he's getting paid WAY more than I am so whatever he says goes pretty much.
The web site should be up by the end of the day at www.odysseyentertainment.com... hopefully. Of course I was told it was going to be up over a week ago, so who knows for sure.
We've been researching deadlines for festivals and it looks like we've missed a lot of the "major" festivals already, but we can submit next year, if we don't have a distribution deal already in place. I think we're trying for the Los Angeles Film Festival and South by South West this year. Both festivals are pretty widely attended and are good jumping off points for securing distribution. I think SPUN opened in South by South West last year and became a pretty big success, however the chances of that happening to this film is a little less likely than Hitler's ghost returning to lead a whorde of undead Nazis against France. But at least we'll get some recognition out of it.
Other than that my piercing busted some capillaries in my brow and caused some blood to spill in to my eyelid... which makes it look like I got sucker punched by a very tiny fist.
I'll make sure to post again on Sunday night with the results... but by that time I'll probably be too drunk to make any sense. Although that's never stopped me before.

Damn, now I'm wondering how nuts I would have gone if I didn't know Chewbacca was going to be in it.
Yoda, Sidious, Samuel L. all had light sabers. Obi-Wan and Anakin is going to knock the world's bollocks off. This cannot suck. Can't wait until MAY!!!!!! Nggghhhh.
This composer needing the finished cut - can't he work off stills and snippets like Marilyn Manson did for Resident Evil or Jonathan Davis did for Queen of the Damned or is he not, as we say, shit-hot? And that website still isn't up... but my complaints mean nothing, neither's mine
Man, festivals. Reminds me of the time four of us decided we were going to make a film and we scoped locations and tried to blag our way into commercial premisies by rattling off festival after festival - Raindance, Sundance, Ediburgh. Might have worked if the script wasn't four weeks late. Forget who was to blame for that...
If Hitler were to come back and lead undead Nazis he wouldn't try France. Nope. Israel. He never liked them Jews. So there's hope yet
Drink hard, mate. You've earned it.
When exactly did you lose it?
Orko or before?
Jesus that was too funny. Thanks.
