sorry to hear that. i had a cocker spaniel for 14 years and he had just the best nature - still miss the hell out of him and the companionship i got from him. there ARE people who don't 'get' attachment to animals, dogs especially - and i don't get them. much of the time i preferred my dog's company to that of other people. . .

My poor dog is in hospital tonight. The little fella (who is 18 after all) had his back legs fail on him today. Looks like nerve damage due to age. There's a small chance that it could be a problem with his spine and anti-inflammatories would fix it, which is why he's in hospital. However, they're going to let me bring him home later on...
