why can't Texas be a swing state for the election? all the cool stuff happens in swing states. case in point; Ani DiFranco is doing a swing state tour. having missed last years concert in Austin (which I'm told was one of her best shows ever), I was a little miffed that she isn't coming to Texas again this year....argh, damn these neo-conservative bastards chasing off all the cool acts! the only acts who come through San Antonio are either super conservative or ultra liberal (and they're just doing it to piss off the super conservative - take Marilyn Manson as a great example).
well, i better go. nip/tuck's on again, and i still haven't done my algebra homework...i swear mathematics is the single most useless thing i've ever learned (and this is coming from someone who not only makes his living as a handy man/construction worker, but also used to work in one of the top pathogenic labs in the world). i have yet to use anything beyond basic geometry in a day-to-day setting. how many times will i ever use the formula to get the square root of an isiciles triangle that stretches ten feet in front of a train leaving dallas at noon, and five feet behind a train leaving st. louis at three in the afternoon, with an average speed of 34.56 miles per hour??
